What it does
Google Cloud’s official icon library supplies SVG and PNG files for technical diagrams. Its current system pairs unique core-product symbols with shared category icons, supported by a product-mapping guide.
First find the product in the overview guide. Core products such as Cloud Run and BigQuery have unique four-colour icons; general products share a two-colour category symbol. For example, Cloud Build and Artifact Registry use the DevOps category. The guide marks core-product exceptions so a category listing does not replace their individual icons.
Download the category and core-product ZIP packages in SVG or PNG according to the drawing tool. Keep labels beside shared category symbols so readers can identify the actual service. Although a legacy archive remains available, the May 2026 guide explicitly says the old console icons should not be used as of 2026.
Strengths
- Current category and core-product artwork are separately organized.
- SVG and PNG formats are both offered.
Watch out for
- The legacy console icons are deprecated for use as of 2026.
Best for
- Google Cloud diagrams and technical documentation
