What it does
Qencode provides cloud video-transcoding APIs with codec and format settings, thumbnails, subtitles, clipping, and output delivery. The platform also includes related storage, streaming, and playback services.
Authenticate an account project key, create a task and submit JSON defining the source and output formats; use its status URL to track processing. A task takes either one source or a stitch list, not both, and can generate multiple renditions, audio or thumbnails. Source URLs and direct uploads are supported, with configurable output storage. The platform offers 500 free credits each month and metered paid services. Transcoding is priced by output minutes with codec, resolution and other multipliers; storage and delivery are separate charges, so a headline base rate does not price a whole workflow.
