What it does
Cock.li is a community email host that says it does not require personal-identity verification or scan message content. It documents standard mailbox access and Tor onion services while emphasizing the need to trust the provider.
Cock.li explicitly warns that ordinary internet mail reaches a provider in plaintext before any storage-encryption step. It recommends correspondent-to-correspondent GPG or X.509 when content must avoid that handling. Standard mail clients and Tor access are documented; the current registration page shows a username/domain, password and CAPTCHA form.
Its no-personal-verification policy is not a no-records policy. The provider lists registration details, stored mail and 48-72 hours of IMAP/SMTP logs, with abuse-investigation and legal-order uses. It says being able to log in is the only proof of account ownership. Keep credentials and message backups deliberately; its immutable infrastructure backups have separate erasure limits.
