What it does
TeraCopy extends file copying with error handling, failed-file retries, conflict controls, integrity checks and reports.
When a device or network disconnects, TeraCopy can wait and later retry just the failed or skipped items. Queue several operations to run in sequence, then use its checksum comparison and reports when a batch needs an integrity record. Metadata choices can limit a job to the attributes needed rather than assuming every copy carries identical permissions or streams. Pro adds editable file lists, ignore lists and favorites. Locked-file copying uses an elevated Windows service and Volume Shadow Copy, so it has different operating requirements from an ordinary copy.
Strengths
- Retry only failed or skipped files
- Integrity verification and reporting
