What it does

CoGrader is an AI grading tool for teachers and schools. It grades essays and open-ended work against the teacher's own rubric. Teachers can upload PDFs, DOCX files or photos of handwritten essays, and export a gradebook CSV. It works with Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, Brightspace, Microsoft Teams and Blackboard, with two-way sync for some of them. A free plan lets teachers grade 150 essays each month. A signup page is available.

The site lists an AI grader, handwritten grading, graders for AP and state tests, an originality checker and an AI rubric generator. Teachers review every score and comment before students see it. The company says a U.S. Department of Education IES research award funds its work, and that its scoring is validated against official state raters. Pricing, privacy, terms and signup links appear on the site.
