What it does

Coinhako provides crypto buying, selling and swaps, with Singapore-dollar funding for Singapore users. Its international account route has different banking access, and limit orders require the entire amount to fill.

Coinhako's Singapore account supports buying and selling with SGD or USD balances, alongside crypto swaps. Singapore-dollar deposits use PayNow and withdrawals use the local FAST bank-transfer system. International users follow a separate route: USD bank deposits and withdrawals are not available by default, with possible case-by-case support for accredited investors.

Registration begins by choosing Singapore or Rest of the World as the residence option, verifying an email address and setting a password. Identity checks then include a phone code, an accepted ID and a live facial scan. Singapore users can use Myinfo to retrieve government identity details; other users are directed to upload a passport. Without Myinfo, or when requested, prepare a document showing the same name and residential address.

The limit-order workflow starts at Trade, then Buy or Sell and Limit Order. Choose the asset, set the price and enter either a currency amount or crypto quantity. Quick price options can set a buying limit below the current market or a selling limit above it. Review the payment balance, fee and expiry before confirming.

Coinhako uses all-or-nothing execution. Even if some liquidity is available at the chosen price, the order stays open unless the whole quantity can be matched. Expiry can be Good till canceled or a chosen date and time up to 60 days away. Open orders cannot be edited: change a price or quantity by cancelling and replacing the order. In Hub, Open Orders shows its status and cancellation control. Funds needed for an active order remain restricted. After a purchase fills, the holding can fall in value regardless of the limit price used.

The fee schedule lists 0.6% for standard SGD or USD spot trades from a Coinhako wallet, and 0.5% for limit orders or recurring buys. SGD spot trades with GrabPay are listed at 2.8%. PayNow deposits have no Coinhako fee; SGD bank withdrawals cost S$2 and USD withdrawals cost US$50. A crypto withdrawal also has a network-related charge. Compare the final quote and funding method rather than assuming every purchase route costs the same.

Strengths

  • Limit orders have adjustable expiry, including a specified date and time
  • The app provides a status and cancellation view for open orders

Watch out for

  • Limit orders cannot fill partially
  • Changing an active order requires cancellation and replacement
  • International users do not receive USD bank access by default

Best for

  • Singapore users comparing crypto purchase methods and limit-order costs
  • Verified users who need a whole order to execute at a chosen price
