What it does
Coinomi manages supported cryptocurrencies, tokens and collectibles in mobile and desktop apps. The wallet itself is free, with no Coinomi fee for sending or receiving; blockchain charges and fees from integrated trading providers are separate.
A native-coin balance does not automatically show every token on its network. In Coinomi, use +, then Add tokens, choose the blockchain and select the token you want to display. Checking the network here prevents confusing an Ethereum token with an asset of the same name on another chain.
For a new wallet, the current setup guide offers an encryption choice, then a selection of coins and a backup prompt. Follow that backup step before relying on the wallet. To receive an asset, open its wallet and choose Receive or swipe right. Copy the address for that asset and network. Bitcoin and Litecoin also offer compatibility and legacy address choices for senders that cannot use the default format.
When sending, review the recipient, amount and network fee before the final confirmation. Coinomi's Low, Normal and High fee choices use current network conditions; they do not guarantee a future confirmation time. A custom fee is expressed as a rate, such as a fee per byte or an Ethereum gas price, rather than necessarily being the total cost. Check the calculated total before confirming.
Coinomi does not charge its own sending or receiving fee. An exchange can nevertheless charge for a withdrawal into Coinomi, and an integrated purchase or swap provider can apply separate charges and eligibility checks. Basic local wallet creation does not require an exchange account.
The official downloads cover Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Linux. Check the supported asset and provider before assuming the same holding, collectible and trading functions are available for every network.
