What it does
Coinpanda tracks crypto portfolios and prepares transaction-based tax reports from exchange, wallet and decentralized-finance activity. Its permanent free account allows imports, transaction review and portfolio tracking; paid access unlocks report downloads.
Coinpanda groups data into wallets, including records from an exchange account or a physical wallet. Choose Wallets > Add Wallet, then use the supported automatic connection or Upload File. An API connection lets Coinpanda read exchange records; CSV and Excel uploads provide alternatives. Check Import History for the number of records received.
A yellow icon beside a wallet flags a difference between its calculated balance and the balance reported by the connection. Open it to identify the assets involved, then filter Transactions by those currencies. Compare missing, duplicated or incorrectly sized entries with the original history before accepting the portfolio total.
For transfers between your accounts, check both sides. Automatic matching considers the asset, amount, timestamp and transaction hash, so a delayed or incomplete import may remain unmatched. The Receive and Send filters, combined with No label, help find movements to inspect. Sorting by Highest gain or Highest loss can expose another kind of anomaly.
Set Home Country in Settings before choosing a calculation method: country-specific options depend on that choice. Missing-balance warnings can cause Coinpanda to use zero acquisition cost, which may inflate a reported gain. Downloading a report does not confirm that the history is complete.
Paid report access
Report downloads require a paid purchase. Check the current plan terms and the reporting years you need before paying. The permanent free account remains useful for imports, transaction review and portfolio tracking.
Strengths
- A collectible gallery sits alongside the main portfolio view
- Transaction warnings identify missing prices as well as balance gaps
- Multiple account records can be kept for the same exchange
Watch out for
- Automatic transfer matching can fail when amounts or timestamps fall outside its criteria
- Missing acquisition records can raise calculated gains through a zero-cost assumption
Best for
- People comparing imported balances with actual exchange holdings
- Users assembling centralized trades and on-chain activity in one history
