What it does
Color-Hex combines colour-reference pages with a community palette collection. Each colour page includes model values, related combinations, shades, tints and examples for using the colour in CSS.
The search accepts more than six-digit hex: names, short hex, RGB, HSL and HSV inputs are also supported. On a detail page, foreground, background and border examples show separate uses of the same value. Text and box-shadow samples extend that comparison.
Palette pages display each swatch’s hex and RGB values and offer a PNG download. Related palettes provide another way to continue browsing from a combination.
Creating a palette requires login. The form contains five colour inputs and limits its name to 50 characters. Every submitted palette joins the public community collection, and published entries can be managed under My Color Palettes. Favourites and comments also require login; registration includes email activation.
