What it does
Adobe’s colour wheel builds palettes from a base colour, an image or a harmony rule. It offers monochromatic, complementary, analogous and triadic combinations, with contrast and colour-vision previews. Adobe Color is included in the free Creative Cloud membership.
Start with a base colour or upload an image. Choose a harmony, then drag the wheel’s colour stops or change a tint to refine the palette. The preview shows combinations together and includes contrast ratios and colour-vision simulations.
To carry a swatch into Adobe Express, select the colour to copy its hex code. Open Your stuff, choose a brand or library, then use Colors > Add your swatches > Custom to paste and save that value.
The wheel generates palettes from colour relationships; Adobe identifies this feature as non-generative AI. A free Adobe ID provides Creative Cloud membership and access to Adobe Color. Saving themes to a personal library is part of that account workflow.
