What it does

Color Designer generates stepped blends between selected colours and exposes values for reuse. Its free tier includes basic tools, while Pro adds more gradient colours, export formats and saved capacity.

Choose the two endpoint panels and adjust the slider to generate one to 40 intermediate colours. The picker accepts numeric changes, while the Swatches tab offers related shades of a selected colour. Results update as the endpoints change, making the tool useful for a discrete scale as well as a visual transition.

The gradient page displays HEX, RGB and HSL values. Saved-palette exports have a separate plan boundary: Free exports HEX and saves up to five colours, five palettes and one project. Pro adds other colour models, larger saved collections and gradients with additional component colours.

An account is offered for saving the free collection. Pro can be purchased by subscription or one-time payment. Subscription plans include a 14-day trial; the one-time option does not. The extra gradient controls and export choices belong to Pro even though the basic two-endpoint generator is free.

Strengths

  • The slider sets a specific number of intermediate colours.
  • Numeric picking and related swatches provide different ways to set endpoints.

Watch out for

  • Free saved collections have colour, palette and project limits.
  • Additional component colours and extended export models require Pro.

Best for

  • Building a stepped blend from known endpoints
