What it does

ColorHexa is a free colour reference and conversion tool. A single search field accepts common colour notations and produces model values, related schemes and colour previews. The same field handles blends, subtraction and gradients.

The input can be a short or full hex code, RGB channels, HSL values or a colour name. The examples also cover Lab, LCH, XYZ and other numeric formats, with the expected ranges shown beside each syntax.

Use a plus sign to mix colours, adding percentages when the proportions matter. A query such as 70% dark blue + 30% orange produces one blended result. For a transition, separate two colours with the word to; the gradient tool presents RGB, HSV and reverse-HSV versions.

A colour-detail page brings the equivalents together. For #663399, it shows RGB 102, 51, 153 and the CSS form hsl(270,50%,40%), alongside related schemes, shades and tints.

Strengths

  • The input syntax accepts multiple colour models and punctuation styles.
  • Blends can specify the proportion contributed by each colour.

Watch out for

  • The gradient tool uses two endpoints; multi-colour mixing is a separate operation.

Best for

  • Designers comparing a known digital colour across formats and combinations.
