What it does
CompaniesMarketCap publishes tables of publicly traded companies with market values and share prices. Country and industry views help you find comparable businesses, and the currency selector changes the display currency. The public rankings are readable without signing in.
Compare businesses within a country or sector
Use Ranking by countries or Ranking by categories to narrow the global table. The search box accepts a company name or ticker, while the currency menu offers options including US dollars, euros and pounds. For example, a bank-sector table is a more focused starting point than comparing a bank with every company in the global ranking.
The US ranking excludes companies that are not publicly traded and is updated daily. CompaniesMarketCap warns that quoted share prices can lag by minutes or several hours. That makes the tables useful for company-size comparisons, but unsuitable as a live order-entry price feed.
Market capitalization is share price multiplied by outstanding shares. It describes the market value of the equity, not a complete assessment of a business.
