What it does
The Contrarian is an English-language publication associated with Jen Rubin and Norm Eisen. Its archive combines journalism, essays, roundups and conversations under a stated democracy-focused purpose.
The declared purpose gives context for its topic selection. A reported story and a publisher's roundup offer different kinds of material, so use the format labels when choosing what to read. Free material sits alongside paid content. Paid benefits include commenting and access to replayed live videos.
