What it does
Convert-me offers unit conversions for common measurements, historical units, cooking, engineering, and computing. It also provides reference explanations and conversion tables.
Cooking conversions depend on both the ingredient and the regional unit. Choose the ingredient, enter a value in one unit, and the cooking page calculates the related units; an unknown ingredient is marked and cannot be converted between mass and volume. The page separates US, British and Australian measures, including the larger Australian tablespoon. Its mass-to-volume results are approximate because ingredient density changes with conditions. Historical and specialist unit families are available through separate pages.
