What it does
NYT Cooking is a dedicated recipe and cooking-guide service from The New York Times. It combines contributor recipes, editor-curated collections, videos and a personal Recipe Box, with selected public content and paid access to the full database and tools.
Reading and keeping a recipe box
A selection of recipes, collections and guides is available without a subscription. A free account can save recipes and add public notes on open recipes, making it possible to begin with a small collection.
Paid Cooking or All Access membership opens the full recipe library, guides, subscriber apps and further Recipe Box tools. Those include personalized folders, private recipe notes and importing recipes from other sites. Choose access around whether you want occasional public recipes or a more organized personal cooking reference.
The official FAQ says a Basic New York Times subscription does not include Cooking. Check the subscription you already have before choosing another plan.
