What it does
PayU offers merchant payment services with cards, wallets, bank transfers and regional payment schemes. Its European platform supports integrated checkout, payment links and separate balances for each shop. Registration, payment methods and commercial terms depend on the regional service, so the local PayU offer is the relevant starting point.
PayU's payment-method catalogue is organized around regional payment habits, including bank transfers and local schemes such as BLIK. A merchant selling into a particular country can use the Europe payment-method filter to compare the available methods by country and type.
In the European integration, a payment link can help a customer finish an interrupted order. The link opens a PayU page showing the order, amount and available methods. A developer creates it through the order API and sets a validity period, from one second to three months. A pending payment needs a cancellation request; simply relying on expiry is not the same as cancelling every payment state.
The European registration process collects organization information, agreements and any required documents. It also requires an activation transfer from the business's bank account, or the owner's account for a sole proprietorship. That transfer starts the verification process. Sandbox and production accounts are separate, so creating a test account does not activate live processing.
PayU's card billing can use its IF++ model: the issuing bank's interchange fee, card-network fees and PayU's margin are accounted for separately. Monthly transaction and summary statements explain the adjustment. The regional registration process also has an activation fee; use the applicable business offer for its amount.
Once funds are available, open My shops in the management panel and choose Pay out funds on the relevant shop. Each shop has its own balance. Automatic payouts are also configured per shop, with a minimum amount and a frequency measured in days.
