What it does
Creem provides checkout, subscriptions, usage billing and prepaid credit balances for software and digital products. It also offers affiliate management and revenue splits for collaborators. Developers can connect usage events to customer meters, while sellers use the dashboard to manage their business review, balance and payouts. Live sales require a reviewed seller account and incur transaction fees.
Creem brings software billing and partner payments into one service. A product can charge a subscription, sell a credit balance or bill measured activity. The company says it acts as merchant of record and handles the transaction taxes for sales processed through the service.
Usage starts with events associated with a customer. A meter filters and aggregates those events; the billing configuration determines how the measured quantity becomes a charge. For prepaid usage, you can debit credits for individual requests or attach a meter and prepaid price to automate deductions. A unit label alone does not set the price.
That distinction matters for an application selling a pack of credits. Define how the pack relates to requests, tokens or minutes, any included allowance, and the unit price that consumes the balance. Creem's tools track those rules, but the product must send the correct customer events.
The published base fee is 3.9% plus USD 0.40 per successful transaction, with no setup or monthly platform charge. It is calculated on the order total including tax. Optional services and withdrawals add separate charges:
| Item | Additional charge |
|---|---|
| Revenue splits | 2% |
| Affiliate marketing | 2%, separate from the partner commission |
| Recovered abandoned-cart sale | 5% of recovered revenue |
| Bank payout | The higher of USD/EUR 7 or 1% |
| USDC payout on Polygon | 2% |
Bank partners can also apply conversion costs. The payout threshold is USD 50 or EUR 50. Once eligible, use Withdraw on the Balance page to queue the payout for the next scheduled run, on the first or fifteenth of the month.
Before taking live payments, complete the account review. In live mode, follow Balance > Payout Account > Set up Payout Account and submit the requested business, product and tax-country details. Creem asks for a production-ready product, clear website pricing, accessible terms and privacy pages, and a matching customer-support email.
Slovenia is in the supported bank-payout list. Some countries have narrower banking-partner restrictions, so use the seller-country guide when choosing an account. Buyer checkout availability does not by itself establish seller eligibility.
Affiliate tools let you approve partners and set product commissions. Revenue splits serve a different purpose: sharing a sale with collaborators. Include the relevant service fee when deciding the amount each person should receive.
