What it does
Balabolka reads documents and ebooks using installed computer voices. It can save spoken text as audio and adjust reading speed, pitch and pronunciation.
Open a supported document or paste text from the clipboard, then choose a voice installed on the computer. Pronunciation replacements are useful for names and recurring terms that the voice reads incorrectly. Balabolka is freeware, but it needs at least one installed voice; the program itself does not supply a universal catalogue of narrated books.
Audio can include synchronized text in an LRC file or MP3 tags for compatible players. The portable version runs from a USB drive, while voices still need to be available on the computer.
