What it does
Crunchafi provides lease-accounting software with firm/client access and financial-data extraction that produces standardized Excel workbooks. Accounting firms can work with clients on lease records or request data from their accounting systems. The two products have separate pricing arrangements.
Crunchafi's lease-accounting product gives both the accounting firm and its client access to the work and its reports.
Add a lease from a PDF
In Add Leases, choose Create from file and upload the lease PDF. Crunchafi displays the extracted fields beside the document, so you can check and correct items such as the name and start and end dates before continuing.
Save the description and term, then complete the required payment and general-ledger account sections. The PDF remains attached. A lease can be marked complete once the required information is entered; organizations using Review + Approval have an additional review stage.
New users join through an administrator's invitation, verify their email address and create an account.
Obtain client accounting data
Data Extraction handles a different task. Send the client a connection link, let them connect their accounting system, then download the extracted and standardized Excel workbook. Available outputs include monthly trial balances, general-ledger transactions, income statements and aged receivable/payable balances.
Supported systems include QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, NetSuite, Xero, Sage Intacct and MYOB. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is listed as a beta connection.
How charges work
Lease Accounting is charged by lease and year, with quoted arrangements for firms and businesses. New leases added during a subscription year are prorated. Active leases renew on the anniversary cycle, and restoring an old deleted lease can bring charges for previously unbilled years.
Report exports are unlimited without an additional export fee. Ninety days of audit history is included; the pricing page lists unlimited history as a $180-per-client annual add-on. Data Extraction is quoted separately, so a lease subscription should not be treated as including it.
Strengths
- New leases created and deleted in the same calendar month are not billed
- Training and support are included in the quoted product arrangements
Watch out for
- AI-extracted lease fields still need review and the required payment/account details
- Unlimited audit history costs extra beyond the included 90 days
- The Business Central data connection is labelled beta
Best for
- Accounting firms preparing lease accounts with their clients
- Audit and advisory teams requesting standardized client accounting workbooks
