What it does
cryptostorm offers VPN access tokens, public server configuration details, multihop options and port forwarding.
cryptostorm's access token is the starting point for its account model. Tokens vary in duration and simultaneous-device allowance, so those two values need checking together. The service also publishes server-side configurations and describes both server-side multihop and a client-side route through another VPN or Tor.
That level of configuration detail suits technical users. Read the specific setup instructions before combining tunnels; a multihop label alone does not explain the trust boundaries or routing of your chosen arrangement.
Keep the access token where you can recover it. cryptostorm says its delivery records can retain a token, email and payment transaction ID for redelivery, while some in-browser payment routes do not request email. You can ask support to remove delivery records, which changes that recovery route. The website's access logs are separate from VPN-node logging and are automatically removed after two weeks under the policy.
