What it does

CS-Cart Store Builder is commercial self-hosted software for products, orders, payments and shipping. One-time packages include code access and a visual editor. Higher editions add multiple storefronts, warehouses and availability based on the customer’s location.

CS-Cart Store Builder combines a one-time software purchase with defined update and support periods. Hosting remains an ongoing requirement even when an initial period is included. Source-code access allows customization but does not itself make this an open-source licence.

Package Selected capability Included service period
Plus Code access and visual editor One year of updates; 30 days of Standard care
Ultimate Multiple storefronts, warehouses, location availability and administrator REST API 60 days of Standard care
Unlim Ultimate capabilities Five years of updates; six months of Ultimate care

The installation wizard creates administrator access alongside the database configuration. After the trial expires, a valid purchased licence is required to manage the store.

Offer collection at the right location

Install Stores and Pickup Points, then open Settings > Stores & pickup points and choose Add store location. The Pickup tab assigns its rate area and the other areas where customers should see it. Add a shipping method with Rate calculation set to Pickup from store. Set its Shipping time and rates, then check the choice at the storefront.

For stock held at several locations, enable the Warehouses add-on. A store can hold stock and offer collection; a warehouse holds stock without customer pickup. Set the product quantities in its Quantity tab, then configure which rate areas each location ships to.

Availability follows those shipping areas. Stock in a warehouse that does not serve the customer's area can leave the product unavailable to that customer. Each rate area's Stores & Warehouses ordering controls which eligible location supplies stock first. Set moving times when stock must travel to a collection point so customers see the expected delay.

Select the package around the storefront and stock-location structure the business needs, then allow for hosting, maintenance and any additional development.
