What it does
Augmented reality learning products that connect physical shirts or posters with digital anatomy and space models.
Curiscope combines a physical object with an on-screen model. Its Virtuali-Tee uses a shirt to explore the human body, while augmented reality posters provide another route into subjects such as space. This is a demonstration format: prepare the associated physical product and a smartphone or tablet, then choose a structure or question to investigate. Asking a child to explain the model afterwards helps connect the effect to the underlying subject.
Check the associated app and device support before buying a shirt or poster for a planned session.
Strengths
- Physical learning products connect to interactive digital models.
Watch out for
- The augmented reality activities depend on associated physical products as well as a device.
