What it does

Customer Thermometer collects quick satisfaction ratings in emails, signatures and embedded surveys. Responses can include comments, with notifications and reporting for the teams responsible for follow-up. Paid accounts include a monthly response allowance shared across unlimited users.

Route a Customer Thermometer response to the person who can follow it up. In a Thermometer's Connect Survey > Response Options, switch on the rating colours that should trigger alerts and add their recipients. Comment alerts have a separate email field on the Thank you page's Comments step. A manager's address stored in a custom field can receive the alert, while a fixed shared inbox receives a copy.

Outlook and Gmail signatures have an important default behaviour: the alert waits for the respondent to enter an email address or decline identification. Closing the landing page can leave a recorded rating without an alert. Enable Send instant email alerts for all responses in Data Collection if anonymous ratings should notify the team immediately; later identification can then generate a second alert.

Monthly response plans

Plan Monthly price Response credits per month
Jumper USD 49 200
Flyer USD 99 500
Mach 1 USD 159 1,000
Mach 2 USD 259 5,000

Larger Mach plans and Enterprise access are available. Every rating uses one credit; sending an email does not. Unused credits roll over, with the balance capped at twice the monthly allowance. At zero credits, surveys close and responses stop being recorded. Optional automatic upgrades can prevent that interruption.

Start through the free-entry registration form with an email address and password. Users and agents are unlimited on paid plans. Annual invoicing can be arranged, and an At the Beach account costs USD 9 per month to retain existing data while surveys are paused.

Strengths

  • Rating and comment alerts can have separate recipients
  • A response's custom-field address can route the alert

Watch out for

  • Default Outlook and Gmail rating alerts can be absent when the respondent closes the landing page
  • Responses stop being recorded when response credits reach zero

Best for

  • Service teams routing one-click feedback to the responsible manager
