What it does
Daftra combines a chart of accounts, journals and financial reports with inventory, purchasing and other business operations. The interface is offered in Arabic and English, with a 14-day trial; cost centres require Advanced or Premium.
Follow spending by cost centre
A business with several departments or projects can allocate amounts from a journal entry to the part of the business responsible for them. In Daftra, first activate the Chart of Accounts app. Under Accounting > Cost Centers, use Add Cost Center to enter its name and code.
A parent cost centre groups other centres. It cannot receive allocations directly, so create sub-centres for the amounts you want to track. In Accounting > Journal Entries, open the entry and choose Assign Cost Centers. Select the account and sub-centre, then enter either an amount or a percentage.
The resulting Reports > Accounting Reports > Cost Centers view can be filtered by centre, account, period and branch. Choose Show Report to inspect the result, then print it or export CSV, Excel or PDF. For example, one supplier bill can be split between two departments without creating two separate bills.
Plans and trial
| Package | Annual charge | Monthly equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $240 | $20 |
| Advanced | $495 | $41.25 |
| Premium | $600 | $50 |
All three include the chart of accounts, journals, financial reports and asset depreciation. Cost centres start with Advanced. Basic allows 100 invoices or quotations a month and one warehouse; Advanced allows 500 and three warehouses. Premium includes five warehouses. Extra warehouses are listed at $12 a month.
The 14-day trial includes the apps without requiring a card. Register with the business name, email, mobile number and password, and choose the company's login address ending in .daftra.com. Inventory and purchasing records can then sit alongside the financial accounts in the same business suite.
