What it does
DAISY Pipeline is an open-source framework and interface for processing accessible digital content. Its transformations work around EPUB, DAISY, PEF, and eBraille formats.
Use Pipeline when accessible content must migrate between reading formats or gain supported accessibility features during production. Its modular transformations make the selected pipeline important: choose one that matches the source and reading system instead of treating the application as an arbitrary file-pair converter. It is intended for producing and maintaining accessible publications.
In the desktop app, drop a source or choose a script, fill its required options, and run the job. Results include links to the output folder, log and validation report. The default results location is a DAISY Pipeline results folder under Documents and can be changed. Ordinary transformations and cloud narration are different paths: cloud TTS requires provider registration and API keys, so installing the open-source app does not supply voice-service access.
