What it does
DBConvert migrates and synchronizes supported database pairs. Its product family includes pair-specific tools, a multi-engine Studio, and a continuous-replication service.
DBConvert's pair tools, multi-engine Studio and Streams CDC route have different scopes. Studio's documented sequence saves source/destination connections, chooses Copy, Sync or Distribution, selects objects and optional type/filter/trigger settings, then runs and reviews the activity log. Saved jobs can be scheduled. Views translate only for supported pairs. The desktop trial is time-unlimited: the first 50 records per table are unwatermarked and character data afterward receives TRIAL text; trial views are excluded. Trigger-based DBSync instead processes five initial records. Streams' own evaluation and CDC terms are separate.
Strengths
- Connects schema checks and type mapping with repeatable migration jobs.
Watch out for
- View translation is supported only for selected database pairs.
Best for
- Organizations moving or synchronizing data between database engines
