What it does
Dedoose is a cloud-based qualitative and mixed-methods analysis application accessed through its desktop app. It analyzes supplied interviews, focus groups, survey responses, images, audio and video, with coding, filtering, visual comparisons and real-time collaboration for research teams.
Dedoose suits studies that combine interview passages with participant information, such as customer segment or survey answers. The desktop app connects to a shared cloud project, where colleagues can code supplied material and work together in real time.
Create an account with a username and email address, then use the emailed temporary password to sign into the downloaded app. A new user may first see a demonstration project. Open Projects, choose Create Project, add a title and description, and submit. On the new project's Home screen, choose Import Data, select the data type and upload the file. Additional categorical or numeric information can be imported through the Descriptors workspace.

On Individual and Small Group, logging in makes the month billable, even if the visit is brief. Months without a login are not charged under those arrangements. New individual accounts receive 30 days free; payment and optional annual prepayment are handled in the Account Workspace.
