What it does
Dehancer offers film-emulation plugins for video and photography, alongside desktop, online and iOS applications. Its tools combine film and print profiles with adjustable grain, halation around bright edges and softer highlight bloom. Subscription and lifetime licences are available for the film plugins.
Input settings come first. In the OFX plugin, Source must match the timeline colour space or the output of the preceding conversion. Built-in camera profiles use a Rec.709 timeline. Advanced ACES, DaVinci Wide Gamut and Cineon workflows belong specifically to Dehancer Pro OFX.
Film Compression changes highlight contrast, but it cannot recover detail that is already clipped. Grain, halation and bloom have separate controls, so the texture and highlight effects can be adjusted alongside the colour treatment.
The LUT Generator exports colour and contrast adjustments as a 17-point or 33-point lookup table. It excludes other grading nodes, and it cannot carry grain, halation, bloom, vignettes or movement effects. A LUT therefore transfers the colour portion of the treatment rather than the complete film effect.

Companies and organizations must choose Studio or Production licensing.
Unactivated film plugins watermark previews and renders; LUT export requires an eligible Pro or Video & Photo licence and is unavailable in Lite. The separate Monitor plugin is free and provides exposure-checking views.
