What it does
Denemo accepts music input from the keyboard, MIDI or microphone and uses LilyPond to typeset the score.
Denemo separates note entry from engraving: use the keyboard, MIDI or microphone input while LilyPond prepares the printed result. It runs locally on Windows, macOS or Linux. The project warns that playing music in is not perfectly reliable, so check the notes.
The first-steps tutorial uses letters for pitch and number keys for duration. Save the editable .denemo project, check Print View, then print or create a PDF. Keeping the project file lets you revise the notation later.
