What it does
Desjardins provides Canadian chequing accounts through its local cooperative branches (caisses), with AccèsD for bills, transfers and account records. You can edit upcoming payments and use Alvie in the mobile app for spending insights. Monthly plans include transaction allowances, and a separate youth offer provides an eligible free account.
Change a payment before it goes out
In the AccèsD app, follow Transactions → Manage transactions → Bill payments and cheques → Cancel or edit an upcoming payment. In a browser, use More options → Cancel a transaction. Allow at least two days for changes to automatic transactions to take effect.
The pending list excludes supplier-generated preauthorized debits and employer payroll deposits. An empty list therefore does not mean that no future activity is expected. Alvie's spending and budget insights are available in the mobile app.

The balance must remain at the qualifying level throughout the month. Transactions outside the plan allowance and some additional services cost extra.
The youth offer includes the Unlimited plan without a monthly fee for ages 18 to 24, or ages 25 to 30 while studying full time at a recognized Canadian institution. The latter group must confirm student status each year.
Online opening involves choosing a plan, creating a profile, verifying identity and selecting a caisse. Membership requires a C$5 qualifying share, reimbursed when the account closes. Joint accounts cannot be opened online.
