What it does

Determ monitors media coverage and social conversations for PR and communication teams. Topics, alerts, AI summaries and reports help examine changing discussion. Registered users can start a five-day trial without a card; continued use requires a paid plan.

Choose Create new topic in the feed, select Keywords, and enter each term with Enter. Match ANY accepts alternatives, Match ALL requires every term, and Exclude removes matches. Pair a common brand name with a product term to narrow results.

Check the preview, choose sources and language or location filters, then Save topic. Preview examples are not the collected feed. Advanced queries refresh through Show preview. Twitter collection limits the full topic configuration to 2,048 characters.

Unlimited keywords do not remove topic and mention limits:

Plan Topics Mentions

Command 10 10,000
Custom Agreed allowance Agreed allowance

Alerts flag changes in volume or sentiment. AI summaries can help select coverage for closer reading; compare the underlying material before treating an apparent trend as an explanation. Custom reports can be scheduled for colleagues, or downloaded in formats such as PDF, CSV and PowerPoint.

Register and wait for the account email to begin the trial. The team can arrange an extended trial after a demo. Paid billing can be monthly, quarterly or annual. Up to three months of history is available by default; additional archive access is requested separately.

Strengths

  • Keyword matching and exclusions narrow ambiguous subjects
  • Custom reports can be scheduled for users in the organization

Watch out for

  • Twitter topic configurations have a 2,048-character ceiling
  • Historical access beyond the default period requires a request

Best for

  • Communication teams following brand coverage and social discussion together
