What it does
DigitalOcean’s pricing calculator builds an estimate from selected compute, database, networking, storage and related products.
DigitalOcean's estimate builder separates compute, databases, networking, storage and support products. The Droplet route asks for the required specifications and a type: Basic uses shared CPU, while General Purpose, CPU-, Memory- and Storage-Optimized types use dedicated CPU. Add to estimate builds the selected product combination; deleting an item presents a Delete/Cancel confirmation. The page's Droplet guidance states per-second billing from January 1, 2026, with a minimum of 60 seconds or $0.01, whichever is higher. That billing rule is specific to Droplets and should not be generalized to databases or storage. Retain the selected product types and quantities when comparing application costs.
