What it does

DivTracker groups holdings by asset or sector and displays dividend, ex-dividend and earnings dates. Separate portfolios keep accounts distinct within one workspace. The iOS and web product also provides a public income calculator for exploring contributions, reinvestment and tax assumptions.

Use the portfolio breakdown to see which holdings or sectors contribute to dividend income. The calendar places payout, ex-dividend and earnings dates together, while retaining their different meanings. Paid plans remove the small free portfolio limit; broker synchronization belongs to the Ultimate offering.

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing Main use
Free $0 $0 One portfolio with five holdings
Pro $4.99 $29.99 Unlimited portfolios and holdings maintained manually
Ultimate $6.99 $49.99 Adds supported US broker connections

The pricing page offers a three-day Ultimate trial. After the trial, the account returns to Free unless upgraded; data is retained, but only the free allowance is visible. Broker compatibility depends on the connection provider and can change.

The public Dividend Income Calculator is useful before importing a portfolio. Enter a share price, shares held, annual contributions and dividend yield, then adjust payment frequency, dividend growth, price growth and tax rate. Toggle dividend reinvestment to compare income taken as cash with income used to buy more shares. Add Scenario creates a comparison, and the results include ending value, shares and annual dividend income. These are calculations from assumptions, not promised payments.

The web application requires an account, with email/password, Apple and Google signup routes. The mobile app can keep data locally or through iCloud without a DivTracker account. Creating an account is needed when synchronizing that data with the web service.

Strengths

  • Groups income by holdings and sectors while preserving separate portfolios
  • A public calculator compares contributions and dividend-reinvestment assumptions
  • Mobile data can remain local until cross-device account sync is needed

Watch out for

  • Free portfolio tracking stops at five holdings in one portfolio
  • Automatic connections are limited to supported US brokers

Best for

  • Dividend investors organizing several portfolios
  • Users comparing income scenarios before connecting a brokerage account
