What it does
DJR publishes David Jonathan Ross’s text, display and coding fonts, with specimen tools and design notes. Paid families use combined production licences, while Bungee is openly licensed and Input has a free private-use option.
DJR’s testing licence includes complete character sets and styles with no time limit for internal evaluation. On a font’s checkout page, choose Testing from the License Type menu. This supplies the actual family for unpublished mockups, rather than a sample missing the characters you need to evaluate.
Production licensing combines desktop, web, app and ebook use in a perpetual tier. The Mini tier, for example, covers three workstations, 15,000 monthly unique web visitors and one app or ebook. Multiple websites can share the web allowance if you operate them all; an upgrade costs the difference between tiers. Bungee follows the separate SIL Open Font License, and Input’s free private-use licence is aimed at coding. The Font of the Month Club is another, subscription-based way to receive releases.
