What it does
Google Cloud’s pricing calculator estimates hypothetical workloads across supported services and can incorporate eligible contract prices.
Google Cloud's calculator adds configured products to a hypothetical workload and shows estimated monthly cost with a currency selector. Its documented interface includes detailed view, CSV download, duplication and sharing controls. The assumptions supplied to the estimate may differ from actual billed consumption. Contract pricing is optional: link a billing account associated with a custom contract and use a role permitted to view those prices. The guide names Billing Account Viewer or Billing Account Administrator as predefined roles, or a custom billing-account role with the listed pricing permissions. A project-level role alone does not establish that access. Keep the workload and retail-versus-contract price basis with a shared or downloaded comparison.
Strengths
- Estimates across several cloud services
- Eligible billing accounts can supply contract prices
Watch out for
- Contract-price access requires specified billing permissions
Best for
- Planning a defined Google Cloud workload
