What it does
Sophos Connect provides IPsec and SSL remote access, with configuration-file import, automatic provisioning and supported Microsoft Entra ID SSO workflows.
Sophos Connect's profile workflow lets administrators distribute connection files or a provisioning file that imports the required configurations. The macOS 2.1 release adds provisioning, Entra ID sign-in and native Apple Silicon support; SSL VPN is also available on current macOS releases of the client. That is a useful change from older guides describing IPsec-only Mac support.
Match both the client and firewall versions to the authentication method. System-browser authentication in macOS 2.1 requires SFOS 22.0 MR3 or later on the firewall. The client is distributed through firewall pattern updates and organizational download routes, so an administrator should manage the package and profiles together.
