What it does
Speedtest Tracker schedules connection-performance observations using Ookla's Speedtest CLI and presents the retained history in a self-hosted application.
Deploy Speedtest Tracker with its database and persistent configuration, then set a cron schedule and optional server IDs. The application runs Ookla’s official CLI, processes its JSON result and compares configured thresholds with the historical measurements. Select the interface visible inside the container when a particular path matters. Self-hosting the dashboard still involves external services: the documented process checks the public IP and contacts the test server. A failed or skipped test is distinct from a completed low result. Retention can prune results older than a configured number of days, and the guest dashboard is disabled by default. The docs identify v1.14.x; the project’s source uses MIT licensing.
