What it does
Unmanic is an open-source library optimizer with automated conversion and plugin-based processing. It can standardize outputs, remove unneeded streams, and compress media under configured rules.
Define the desired library state and plugin stack, then continuously process matching files. Linked installations receive tasks only when enabled and sharing the library name; the remote applies its own settings/plugins. Shared storage can avoid file upload, otherwise the link uses HTTP transfer, and results return for local post-processing that can replace the original. The free tier lists two libraries and three linked installations, with unlimited workers; supporters unlock larger library/link allowances, Central and additional settings. Core Unmanic remains GPLv3 open source, with supporter status obtainable through contributions or financial support.
