What it does

Dotdigital uses customer data, segments and visual programs to coordinate email and cross-channel marketing. Teams get a tailored quote based on marketable contacts and planned messages, then work through named user accounts with assigned permissions.

A contact emailed during the billing period can remain chargeable after deletion or suppression. Dotdigital bills the peak marketable-contact count, and subscription status on other channels matters. Review that account-wide status when maintaining a campaign audience.

The same attention to eligibility belongs in a program's Start node. Choose the schedule, qualifying rule and enrollment limit separately. A segment that still qualifies tomorrow can enroll a person again after they finish the program. For a post-purchase series, decide whether entry should be once, repeatable or allowed after a gap; a daily segment check alone does not represent a new purchase.

Program-wide exits can remove contacts who meet a goal before they move to the next node. Editing those conditions requires deactivating the program first. Complete that exit decision alongside the entry rule before enabling the journey.

Pricing is quoted for your marketable-contact count and intended messaging volume. For an existing parent account, an owner or user with account-management permission can open Settings > Users and teams > Users and choose New user. Assign the appropriate accounts and role, then have the invitee confirm their password within three days, before the invitation expires.

Strengths

  • Enrollment frequency can be controlled independently of the program schedule
  • Program-wide exits can remove contacts before the next action

Watch out for

  • Exit conditions cannot be edited while the program is active
  • Later deletion or suppression does not necessarily reduce the billing-period contact count

Best for

  • Teams defining repeatable customer journeys across several marketing channels
