What it does
Downdetector presents online service-status information derived from user problem reports, covering Internet providers and other widely used services.
Find the service in the relevant country and compare its status with the 24-hour report chart, common problem types and map. Downdetector’s UK methodology says it compares reports with a time-of-day baseline from the last six months and updates status every four minutes. It limits how repeated reports contribute to displayed totals, while still collecting the extra submissions. A report’s actual country also affects which service total includes it. These rules help interpret a spike or a quiet chart; neither establishes the technical cause or rules out an individual problem. Check the provider’s status and the local connection alongside the crowd signal. Business Explorer capabilities are separate from this public view.
