What it does
Dreamstime is a stock-media marketplace offering photos, vectors, editorial images, footage and audio. It has paid credit packs and subscriptions plus a searchable free-photo and public-domain section. A Dreamstime account is needed to obtain media, and the free-photo licence has its own limits.
Free photos have different terms
The Free Photos section lets you search free photographs and public-domain content separately. Free photos under the limited RF-LL licence permit commercial projects but cap physical copies at 10,000. For unsubscribed members, that licence lasts six months after download; subscribed members have six months after their download subscription ends. Public-domain files use a separate CC0 route.
Paying for downloads
Credit packs start at US$14.99 for three credits. Subscriptions provide monthly image allowances, and video, audio and extended-licence options are listed separately. Choose the media type and licence before paying for an allowance.
Dreamstime’s watermarked previews are for evaluating layouts, not publishing. Regular royalty-free terms prohibit standalone redistribution, downloadable wallpaper libraries and resale products where the media is an essential part without further permission. Multiple employees using files require the appropriate extended or corporate arrangement.
