What it does
DriveWealth provides brokerage infrastructure for banks, financial apps and other businesses offering investing to their customers. Its APIs cover account opening, funding, trading, custody, clearing and reporting. The integration model determines which customer balances and money movements the partner must manage.
DriveWealth is aimed at the business building an investing experience. Start by deciding who holds customer cash and who maintains individual balances. Its funding guide distinguishes four arrangements:
| Model | Operational distinction |
|---|---|
| Individual | Customers fund separate DriveWealth accounts |
| Bulk | The partner holds cash and settles a combined daily amount |
| Cashless | Trades settle behind the scenes without a customer deposit step |
| Omnibus | One master account; the partner maintains customer records and balances |
Omnibus integrations also need their own customer-level reporting and market-data provision. Bulk and cashless designs require settlement and reconciliation work; bank holidays affect actual cash settlement. These are architectural choices, not just different screens.
Public developer documentation and a test environment support planning. Commercial setup goes through the Sales form, which asks about business model, target regions, assets or trading volume, and the expected launch. Request terms for that specific arrangement. Existing investors should take ordinary account questions to the app or financial firm where their account was opened.
