What it does
Ducky is a managed retrieval service for AI search and retrieval-augmented generation. Developers create a project and an index, upload documents, then search them with natural language queries. It supports metadata filters, reranking, and indexing of text, images and PDFs. Python and TypeScript SDKs are provided, along with an API reference. A free trial tier is listed, and accounts are created at app.ducky.ai.
The home page lists a trial with 100k index tokens and 100k retrieval tokens. A launch tier lists 3M index tokens and 3M retrieval tokens each month, $0.014 per additional 1K index tokens, $0.079 per additional 1K retrieval tokens, and dedicated support via Slack. Documentation covers authentication, core concepts, document chunks, working with files, multimodal indexing and advanced metadata usage. Retrieval accepts top_k between 1 and 100 and optional reranking. A demo can be booked with the team or viewed as a clickable browser demo.
