What it does
Duco automates financial-data processing, reconciliations and exceptions, separating suggested rule changes from approved execution. Financial operations teams can prepare incoming files, control matching tolerances and review differences. The cloud service also exports reconciled data and workflow details for reporting.
Duco combines reconciliation and exception management with a defined approval point for proposed changes. Its AI reasoning suggests changes in plain language; a person approves a suggestion before it becomes a rule, and that decision enters the audit log. The platform then runs the approved rules over the data.
Inputs can include PDFs, SWIFT messages and Excel or CSV files. Reconciliations can run at a scheduled time or after a specified amount of data arrives. Data Platform makes the results, outstanding differences and workflow information available to Excel, databases and reporting tools.
Keep uncertain matches in review
An administrator opens Multi-pass for the relevant process and chooses whether each matching pass produces completed or proposed matches. Completed matches execute their associated actions, including applicable write-offs. Proposed matches appear grey in the results and wait in Pending change.
A reviewer with match-creation permission can approve or reject a proposal from the queue or results action bar. This is useful when a rule finds plausible matches that still need a person's judgment.
The queue is rechecked on each run. New data can satisfy a higher-priority rule and cause a transaction to match automatically; rejecting a suggestion does not exclude it from all later runs. Find matches within roll-ups and Generate proposed matches cannot both be enabled in the same process.
Plan the implementation
Duco offers a demonstration using your own data and can provide reconciliation specialists to help build the process. Discuss the incoming files, rule priorities and output destination during that session. The service runs without a local installation, but complex reconciliations take longer to configure than straightforward ones.
Strengths
- Separates proposed rule changes from human approval and execution
- Combines reconciliation with structured and unstructured data processing
- Exports reconciliation results and unresolved differences into reporting tools
Watch out for
- Rejected match proposals can re-enter later matching runs
- Proposed matching cannot run alongside the roll-up match option in the same process
Best for
- Financial-operations teams governing changes to reconciliation workflows
- Reconciliation managers who need to review uncertain matches before completion
