What it does
DxO ViewPoint adjusts photo geometry, perspective and shape, with selective warping and tools for wide-angle edge stretching.
ViewPoint 6 gives a photograph several routes through geometry correction: its current guide accepts supported RAW files as well as JPEG and TIFF, and can apply camera/lens modules when the relevant metadata is available. The saving choice needs attention. The October 2026 menu guide says Save overwrites the original, while Save As creates a new file with a chosen name, destination and format. Use that new-file route when you want to keep the source. Optional .dvp sidecars store correction instructions for ViewPoint 6 and later; they are not a portable set of edits for every image editor. Plug-in compatibility is also tied to the host versions DxO lists.
