What it does
UnicodeChecker is a free Mac utility for Unicode exploration, escape conversion, normalization and code-point-level string analysis.
Two strings can look alike while containing different code points. UnicodeChecker’s Split Up and Diff tools expose those differences, and Split Up can copy selected table values for use elsewhere. Check NFC, NFKC, NFD or NFKD before choosing a normalization conversion. The utility also converts representations used by HTML, CSS, URLs and IDNA. Mac Services and AppleScript provide routes from text in another application. The documented 1.25.1 release uses Unicode 17 and requires macOS 10.13 or later.

- Code-point-level string comparison
- Normalization inspection and conversion
Watch out for
- The documented release requires macOS 10.13 or later
