What it does
East News provides press photography, archive material, reportage and other visual collections. Its public image bank includes category, creation-date, orientation, person and filename search controls.
Begin with a person, event or subject, then narrow by category and creation date. East News separates news, sport, entertainment, reportage and archival material, with anniversary selections for planned coverage. Orientation choices include vertical, horizontal, square and panoramic images.
For a known photograph, search by the agency filename, original filename or headline. This is useful when a picture editor supplies a reference rather than a broad brief. Request the selected image’s usage conditions and distribution coverage before publication; the public preview alone does not establish those rights.
Strengths
- Date, category and orientation controls support specific picture briefs.
- Filename and headline routes help locate a known reference.
Best for
- Publishers researching Polish news and historical imagery
