What it does

EasyTier creates a mesh network across desktop and Android devices, with subnet sharing, NAT traversal and relaying when direct connections fail.

EasyTier connects machines that may be unable to accept inbound connections. Nodes try NAT traversal and use shared-node relay fallback when a direct path fails. The quick-start commands give each member the same network name and network secret; those values define which network it joins.

A node can also advertise a local subnet, after which EasyTier synchronizes the route to other members. Choose both membership credentials and shared subnets deliberately. A public discovery or relay node is a different role from an authorized member of your private network. Web, graphical and command-line interfaces manage the networking software; they do not supply a consumer exit-country subscription.

Strengths

  • Subnet-sharing support
  • Direct connection with relay fallback

Best for

  • Technical users connecting private devices behind NAT
