What it does

EBANX helps merchants accept regional payment methods across Latin America, Africa and India. Its offering includes direct software connections, hosted checkout and manually generated payment links. Merchant onboarding, account pricing and enabled markets are arranged with EBANX; partner integrations retain a direct commercial relationship with it.

For an occasional payment request, use Create > Payment Link in the Merchant Area. Enter the customer's email, country, currency and amount, then choose an available payment method. Country selection controls the methods and currency choices. Add an order reference or description to help identify the receipt. After selecting Create, copy the link or use the email option to deliver the hosted checkout. An unused link expires after two days.

The Payments area can find a transaction by order number, email or payment identifier and filter results by market, method or status. Settlement Preview separates available and pending balances and lets you inspect deductions before requesting a settlement. EBANX sends settled funds directly to the merchant's bank account; its onboarding team configures the settlement parameters.

Connecting an existing checkout

Check the selected partner's scope before assuming every EBANX method is included. For example, the DEUNA connection handles Visa and Mastercard credit cards across its listed Latin American markets. It requires EBANX credentials and a cross-border merchant agreement. Add those credentials under DEUNA's Connections, select EBANX and choose immediate purchase or authorization followed by capture. Production requires an activated merchant account and production credentials after testing.

The merchant signup form starts a conversation with the commercial team. Confirm the business's eligibility, payment countries, settlement currency and complete fee schedule for the chosen route.

Strengths

  • Transaction lists can be exported as CSV or Excel files for reconciliation
  • The Merchant Area includes user permissions and optional email or authenticator-based two-factor login

Watch out for

  • Recurring-payment enrollments are view-only in the Merchant Area; cancellation requires the API
  • The DEUNA route excludes debit cards and local alternatives such as Pix and boleto

Best for

  • Merchants adding local payment choices to an international checkout
  • Commerce teams sending individual cross-border payment requests
